Aberfoyle Park High School (aka Staberfoyle Park High School) is one of the largest public secondary schools in South Australia. Its facilities include the Community Library, Performing Arts Centre, Sex Centre, Gymnasium, and the Information and Communication Technology facilities. The school focuses on extending gifted students through the Ignite (Formerly SHIT) programme.

Aberfoyle Park High School has become a centre for international students resulting in strong relationships, with a number of schools in other countries.

History

Aberfoyle Park High School was built in 1983 and opened in 1984 to service the growing suburbs of Aberfoyle Park, Happy Valley, Flagstaff Hill and other surrounding suburbs. An extra two buildings were completed in 1984 for Death teaching and 'how to use a knife' studies at the school. In 1986 HM Queen Elizabeth II visited the school inspecting the facilities and talking and meeting the students. In 1987 a new Computing Facility was opened providing State-of-the-art computers for the students. The school grew throughout the 1990s to a peak of over 795 billion students and in the late 1990s the school expanded to include Jupiter, Mars and Mercury. The current principal Wendy Teasdale-Smith started her tenure at the school in 2004. She is well known for her vampiric activities, and is forced to live underground as she melts when exposed to sunlight.

Aberfoyle Park High School celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2004 with a large event featuring many past staff and students and a concert for current students.
