Ted Pearce is a singer / songwriter particularly in the Christian and Messianic sphere, who is currently a member of the music group Lamb.
Biography
Ted Pearce grew up in
Beaumont Texas and began writing original music on guitar at age 13. He played in the late 70s in the house band at "The Foxy Lady" club with his band, Airborn.In the 80s, he moved to
Dallas and performed with several groups including Side Effex which released a couple of vinyl records and other cassette-only releases. He recorded albums with indie bands Diego & The Switchblades, The Surrogate Vapors, and T-Roy. During this time he also produced a Cable Access television program supporting original Texas music called "Dallas Music Magazine" which chronicled the Dallas music scene from 1983-1991In 1990, he had a radical encounter with God and Ted began writing worship music with his first messianic album, "Shield of David" released in summer of 1991.
He later formed two Christian rock bands and two albums "Nomadic Farmers" (1997) and "Big Methuselah" (1999) resulted.
Ted returned to Messianic worship music on the label Galilee of the Nations with "Zealous Over Zion" in October 2002. His next solo recording, was "Hallelu Et Adonai" is a collection of simple acoustic songs released July 2005. A new version of "Hallelu Et Adonai" with an additional 7 songs is set for release on March 3rd, 2008
Pearce and Joel Chernoff have collaborated to revive the Messianic pioneer group, Lamb. And Ted has recently released a DVD holocaust memorial film called "The Forgotten People" in a new compilation from Galilee of the Nations entitled "For Zions Sake I Will Not Be Silent"
