t.A.T.u. with her former lover and partnerIvan Shapovalov for several years.Kiper says that whilst under anasthetic during having dental work, she had a dream she was kissing a woman, and woke up declaring, "ya soshla s uma!", and hence came up with the idea of the song "
Ya Soshla S Uma ", and conspired with Shapovalov to create the lesbian image of t.A.T.u. However, Shapovalov claimed that the idea was entirely his. Because of this disagreement, Kiper filed a lawsuit against Shapovalov claiming he did not give her enough royalties for her work with the group. Kiper eventually won the suit.Kiper also co-wrote "
Nas Ne Dogonyat ". She is also credited for "All the Things She Said " and "Not Gonna Get Us " in the sleeve of the 200 KM/H In The Wrong Lane album, even though she did not co-write the English lyrics. The years with "Nichya"
During her time working with t.A.T.u., Kiper wrote and recorded a song called "Ne Glotat" with her partner Shapovalov. This demo was supposed to have been for t.A.T.u.'s recording purposes, but was dropped. Kiper, having owned the rights to the song, later teamed up with friend and fellow singer Oleg Borshevskiy to re-record the song. This time, however, the song was entitled "Nichya" ("No One's" in feminine form), and would be the basis name of the group they would form.
Nichya was officially born in 2001, and in February 2002, the two singers got together to record and write material for their album, "Navsegda" ("Forever").External links
