Tom McEllistrim, Snr

Thomas (Tom) McEllistrim, Snr (14 October 1894 – 4 December 1973) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician who sat in Dáil Éireann for 46 years.

He was a TD for the constituency of Kerry , and later of Kerry North, from 1923–1969. His son, Tom McEllistrim, Jnr, and his grandson, Tom McEllistrim III have both represented the same seat. In 2003 his granddaughter, Ann McEllistrim, [http://www.electionsireland.org/candidate.cfm?id=422 replaced] her brother in representing Tralee in Kerry County Council.
