Dverberg is a small village in Andøya municipality in Nordland county, Norway.
Dverberg was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Andenes and Bjørnskinn were separated from Dverberg January 1, 1924. These three were again united January 1, 1964 - to create the new municipality of Andøy.Before the merger Dverberg had a population of 1,719.
Dverberg church (Dverberg kirke) is an octagonal timber church. It was inaugurated on 17 October 1843 and has 350 seats. The architect of the church was Christian H. Grosch. In 1930, there was a major restoration. Augustinus Johannessøn Sellevold (1803-1893) who was a minister to the Norwegian Parliament from Nordland and Artic explorer Torstein Raaby were both buried in the church cemetery. [1]
