History

The journey of CSC in India can be seen from the following timeline:

2007: CSC acquires Covansys Corp, will increase the CSC India's strength to 14400 employees and adding convert|550000|sqft|m2 of office space.

2006: CSC India completes 10 years of India operation. Currently employing around 8000 employees and it is the 5th fastest growing IT company in the country.

2005: CSC India resource base grows 100 percent to reach 4400. Three new facilities in Noida and Hyderabad set up.

2004: Two large global engagements in Application Services being serviced in India. Indore and Noida units assessed at PCMM Level 5 and PCMM Level 3 respectively.

2003: CSC in India headcount crosses the 1,000 mark, Infrastructure services begin operations.

2002: Banking operations initiated. Life Insurance group sees a huge expansion with the Vantage product support.

2001: Healthcare and BPO operations start.

2000: Policy Management Systems India Pvt. Ltd. (PMSI) - leading software vendor serving the insurance industry - acquired by CSC. PMSC India becomes part of CSC.

1996: Policy Management Systems Corporation of Blythewood (PMSC), South Carolina sets up Indian arm in Indore, Madhya Pradesh through subsidiary PMSI.
