SmileTV is a British television channel which launched on digital terrestrial television (Freeview) channel 37 on 29 April, 2006. It is carried on multiplex C, and timeshares with Dave. The channel is owned by SQ1 Management. SmileTV has been broadcasting between 3am and 7am since 28 September, 2007. Since launch, the channel had been on air between 1am and 5am.

The vast majority of the channel's output is a premium rate telephone chat-line service by the name of "Party Girls", which broadcasts from 3am to 7am. This programme replaces "Party People", which was broadcast between 1am and 4am, and "SumoTV", taking up the final hour of the old broadcasing times.

From the launch of SmileTV until 1 July, 2006, "Quizworld" was shown in the 1am to 4am timeslot. "Quizworld" was a premium rate telephone quiz service. An audio version of "Quizworld" was also broadcast on Top Up TV Active intermittently outside of SmileTV's broadcast hours. The audio on was accompanied by an on-screen MHEG graphic of the quiz. A MHEG graphic is used as during the daytime and evening Top Up TV have no space on the digital terrestrial platform for an additional videostream. Using MHEG means a picture can be broadcast using minimal bandwidth.

The channel also has a secondary logo seen on their off-air MHEG, and is worded as SmileTV ;-).

Smile TV 2 appeared on freeview channel 46 on the 8th September 2008 and broadcasts "Party Girls" and Life Coach TV. [http://www.smiletelevision.co.uk/] [http://www.lifecoacher.tv/]
