Possum (song)

Possum (song)

Possum is one of the earlier Phish songs written by former frontman and guitarist Jeff Holdsworth. After Holdsworth's departure from the group in 1986, Mike Gordon, the bassist, took over the job of singing the lyrics.
Possum is that last song on Trey Anastasio's senior thesis The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday. The project was a musical/narrative that chronicles the story of the fictional people, the Lizards, who live in Gamehendge.
Possum is featured on several Live Phish Volumes.
