- Dritte Wahl

Dritte Wahl (German pronunciation: [ˈdʁɪtə ˈvaːl]) is a German Punk rock Group from Rostock in Germany.
Dritte Wahl (translated: "Third Choice") first performed in 1988. Back then Holm was on the bass, but he left the band in 1991. The rest of the group were Busch´n (vocals, bass, † 2005), Gunnar (guitar, vocals) and Krel (vocals, drums). Dritte Wahl make political punk rock with very direct lyrics - and were doing it back in Communist East Germany.
In 1998 the band founded their own record label under the name Rausch Records, that they later renamed Dritte Wahl Records.
On 17 January 2005, Busch´n died of stomach cancer aged 35. The surviving members didn't want to break up the band, preferring to continue their career (this was also Busch´n's express wish).
Since 19 April 2005, Stefan - formerly guitarist for the Crushing Caspars - has been playing the bass.
Extended tours through all parts of Germany and also abroad (so far concerts have taken them to Holland, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland, as well as to the Czech Rep., Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia and Hungary) have made DRITTE WAHL known, even beyond the borders of their own country. Recently they play a great concert in cuba
