Gatoloaifaana Amataga Alesana-Gidlow is the Current Minister of Health in Samoa. She was appointed to the portfolio by Prime Minister Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi following the March 2006 General elections in which she was elected for the first time. She is the daughter of former Prime Minister Tofilau Eti Alesana who held the portfolio of Minister of Health under the Premiership of Fiame Mata'afa Faumuina Mulinu’u II, C.B.E..
She and her husband Rodger Gidlow own and run a hotel in Lalomalava on the island of Savaii. She has also been a Director on the Board of the Samoa Tourism Authority.
