"Send Me a Lullaby" was released in February 1982 [Several sources (Spin, Trouser) give 1981 as the year for this album; presumably it was recorded in 1981, then licensed to Rough Trade UK for 1982.] in Australia on Missing Link and subsequently in the UK on Rough Trade Records, an independent music record label. It was The Go-Betweens' debut album. The LP was recorded at the Richmond Recorders studio in Melbourne, Australia. The original release consisted of eight songs on the Australian vinyl edition and twelve songs on the UK edition.
