John Cameron Pallett (
February 15 ,1921 –October 3 ,1985 ) was a Canadian lawyer and politician.Born in Dixie,
Ontario , he was educated atUniversity of Toronto , at which he got a B.A. in 1941. He then attendedOsgoode Hall Law School , graduating with aBachelor of Laws in 1947. He founded Pallett & Pallett law firm in 1948; subsequently Pallett Valo,Mississauga . He also served as a Bencher of theLaw Society of Upper Canada .Pallett was a
Member of Parliament of Canada from 1954 to 1962;Parliamentary Secretary to thePrime Minister of Canada ;Chief Government Whip and leader of the CanadianNATO delegation toEurope in 1959. He served as a Captain in theGovernor General 'sHorse Guards armoured reconnaissance division inFrance ,Italy andGermany , from 1942 to 1945.He was the Chairman of the
Mississauga Hospital Board of Directors; Chairman of theMississauga Hospital Foundation Board of Directors; President ofPort Credit Lions Club ; President ofCredit Valley Golf Club ; President ofDixie Curling Club ; Director ofGriffith Island Club .He was married to Mary Virginia Leuty and had five children: James McCormack, Megan Jane, Bruce Cameron, Drew Malcolm and Wesley Newman (July 21, 1962 to March 4, 1974).
He died on Griffith Island in the
