WinOKE

"winOKE" is a specialised piece of software for Microsoft Windows. The software has been developed to enable anyone to be able to create and run Karaoke.

"winOKE" was used to animate the lyrics used on the TV programme "Karaoke Fishtank" broadcast on "Channel 4 4Later" in 2000. The programme was created by Televirtual (famous for the TV series Knightmare produced by Anglia Television) and produced by Endermol Entertainment.

"winOKE" was created to fill the gap in the home and DIY Karaoke market. Initially only capable of playing CDs and WAVE files, it allowed you to enter any lyrics and synchronise them with the audio. It was even compatible with Windows 3.11. Later winOKE gave way to supporting full-screen video and a range of other effects.
