"Trail of Life Decayed" is the second demo by the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity and is the first demo release as Dark Tranquillity. The band started to experiment with this release, introducing more melodic elements to their sound, but is still an undeveloped release to later ones. It is limited to only 800 printed copies. The demo was re-released in 1992 as an EP with different artwork.

The 1992 EP version was printed in Mexico and released by Guttural Records. It is limited to only 1000 copies.
