Born in
Abergavenny ,Monmouthshire in SoutheastWales , he graduated in English & Publishing atOxford Brookes University , completed a Post Graduate Degree in English & Drama at Cardiff University, then trained as an actor at theCentral School of Speech and Drama where he gained his Masters. In 2001 he began writing professionally.Play Writing
His first play, "Leslie's Electric Video" was produced by
Sgript Cymru in 2002; "Mary's in the Shed" was produced and published by the same company in 2003. HisTV comedy miniseries , "The Watkins Report" was produced by Bethan Jones and directed by Rhys Powys forBBC 2W in 2004.BBC Wales to BBC1
In 2005, Evans’s comedy
mockumentary series, "Cynthia", was produced and directed by Gareth Gwenlan for BBC Wales. He was also commissioned to write an episode of "Snapshots", a mini drama series he co-created for BBC 2W and a pilot for his sitcom, "Spliced", forBBC One .Also in 2005 Evans was commissioned to write a 30-minute version of "Cynthia" for BBC Wales and a 30-minute pilot of his new drama, "The Retreat", for ITV Wales with Rhiannon Cousins.
More recently Evans has been commissioned to shadow write an episode of the popular BBC Wales drama Belonging, a 30' pilot episode of his new sitcom 'Third Time Lucky' for BBC Wales and 4 episodes of the Belonging Radio spin off series for BBC Radio Wales.

In 2007 Evans joined the writing team for the new
BBC Radio 4 sketch showRecorded for Training Purposes . He also wrote for the hit BBC One sitcom Green Green Grass and Script Edited the new series of the BAFTA and RTS award winning children's comedy Young Dracula (also for BBC One).In 2008 Evans wrote two episodes of the sitcom 'Hotel Trubble' and one episode of the detective drama 'Half Moon Investigations' for CBBC. He also joined the writing team on the Channel 4 comedy show 'Tonightly' and had two original pilots commissioned; 'Socialized' a black comedy for BBC Comedy North and 'My Single Dad' a sitcom for CBBC.
