Cruising is a novel written by New York Times reporter Gerald Walker and published in 1970.

The novel is about an undercover cop looking for a homosexual killer in the world of sadomasochism leather gay bars in Greenwich Village, New York.

The novel was adapted, with substantial changes to the plot, as the 1980 film of the same title, starring Al Pacino and Karen Allen.
