Gilt

A gilt is any of the following:

* A thin covering of gold. See gilding.
* A government bond issued in the UK for HM Treasury by the UK Debt Management Office. The term stems from the initial practice of producing government bond certificates with gold edges, hence 'gilt-edged'. See gilts.
* Gilt (pig) - An immature female pig which has birthed fewer than two litters.
*"Gilt", an album by Machines of Loving Grace.
*Reacher Gilt, chairman of the Grand Trunk Semaphore Company in "Going Postal", part of Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" series.
