A Night in Terror Tower is the twenty seventh book in R. L. Stine's popular "Goosebumps" series of scary stories for young people.

It is also one of many two-part episodes of the Goosebumps TV series. Most of the two episodes were filmed in the medieval style Casa Loma in Toronto, Ontario.Fact|date=March 2007

The story, which features the premise of two heirs to the British throne mysteriously vanishing, is based on true events. In 1483, Richard III of England placed his two nephews, Edward V and Richard of Shrewsbury, 1st Duke of York, known collectively as the princes in the Tower, in the Tower of London. The two boys were never seen again. It is not known what happened to the two young princes but they were most likely killed.

Plot summary

The story centered around two kids named Eddie and Sue Morgan who are brother and sister. They find their memories becoming increasingly unreliable and end up pursued by a mysterious man.

On tour in twentieth century London at Terror Tower, the two siblings discover that their tour group is gone. The lone man in the castle appears to be a mysterious man in a black cape, later revealed to be the "Lord High Executioner".

Eddie and Sue flee to the hotel, narrowly escaping a cab driver when they discover they do not have British Pounds to pay for the ride. However, the Lord High Executioner catches up with them, and takes Eddie prisoner, while managing to bring himself and the two siblings back to the Middle Ages.

Sue's search for her brother leads her through a peasant village, where she is eventually found by the Lord High Executioner and taken back to the tower. There, they encounter Morgred, the King's sorcerer, who reveals that Eddie and Sue are actually Edward and Susannah, the Prince and Princess of York. Morgred had sent them far into the future with new, but incomplete memories and identities but the Lord High Executioner overheard the spell and stole the three magic stones and followed the kids to the 20th century.It is the Lord High Executioner's intention to kill the children because they are heirs to the throne and their uncle the King wants them "out of the way". At the last moment before their execution, Eddie reveals he swiped the stones from Morgred and the siblings manage to escape into the future, bringing Morgred with them to be their legal guardian(According to the TV show). He changes his name to Mr. Morgan and the kids become Sue and Eddie Morgan.

In the book, Eddie, Sue, and Morgred end up going out for some "20th century burgers and fries". The television episode depicts more suspenseful and dark implications, where Morgerd notices that one of his white stones is missing without explanation, until it is shown that Lord High Executioner followed them back to the future yet again. R.L. Stine makes an appearance in the T.V. version in Terror Tower. At the end he is trapped.
