25 March 1948 ,Glasgow ,Scotland ), is a British television presenter.Brought up on
Loch Lomond side, she first came to prominence on consumer items on the breakfast television programmesTV-am and "BBC Breakfast Time ". She is most famous for presenting "Watchdog" from 1985 until 1993, alongside her husbandJohn Stapleton , on which she would use the phrase "potential deathtrap" numerous times leading to parody. From 2003 she has been the consumer reporter onGMTV . She has survived both bowel andskin cancer .She has a son, Nicholas James Stapleton (born
