Currently there is a working version of GIMP for Mac OS X, Gimp.app. Gimp.app has many features that Seashore does not have, but it requires a version of X11 to run. Features

Although still in development, Seashore has many of the basic features found in graphics editing software, including:
* Full support for the XCF file format
* Reading and writing TIFF, PNG, JPEG and JPEG 2000 file formats
* Reading BMP, GIF, PDF, PICT, and XBM file formats
* Layers and layer merging effects
* Individual editing of layer channels
* Transparency effects and transparency in gradients

* Anti-aliased paint brushes
* 6 gradient effects
* Graphics tablet support
* Plug-in filter effects
