Hang time can refer to a number of things:

* Hang time generally refers to how long something stays in the air:
** In basketball, the length of time a player stays in the air after jumping, either to make a slam dunk, lay-up or jump shot.
** In American football, the length of time a punted ball flies through the air.
** In some first-person shooters, the length of time a player flies through the air as the result of a grenade jump.
* "NBA Hangtime" and followup "NBA Maximum Hangtime", basketball arcades by Midway Games.
* "Hang Time", an album released by Soul Asylum in 1988
* "Hang Time", an American television show that aired from 1995 to 2000
* "Hang Time Advertising" Coined by Media-Alternatives in 2008, this type of marketing refers to any time a person is in a place where they are waiting for an event, or service, and have nowhere to go for a few minutes. This includes but is not limited to; On-Hold Marketing, In-Theatre Advertising, and In-Store Audio Marketing.
