Philip Jeremiah Schuyler

Philip Jeremiah Schuyler (January 21, 1768– February 21, 1835) was born in Albany, New York. He was the son of Revolutionary War General Philip John Schuyler. He was known as Philip J. Schuyler and his father as Philip Schuyler.

He was a member of the New York State Assembly in 1798 and a U.S. Congressman as a Federalist from New York from 1817 to 1819. He left public office after not seeking reelection in 1818.

He died of tuberculosis in New York, NY. He is buried at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
