In 1997, BAF Audio Visual Inc. was given approval by the CRTC to operate a new AM radio station at 1610 kHz. November 19 ,2007 CHEV announced via its blog that it would not broadcast for an undetermined period due to renovations being done in the studio. OnNovember 28 ,2007 , CHEV launched a new website. OnDecember 12 ,2007 , CHEV returned to the internet airwaves. The station now broadcasts at various times during the week.References
