Guy Selvester

Father Guy William David Selvester (born 6 August 1964 in Plainview, New York, U.S.) is a Roman Catholic priest who has been involved in the research, design and artwork for ecclesiastical coats of arms for over two decades. In that time, he has proven himself to be an expert on ecclesiastical heraldry, especially as it relates to the Roman Catholic church. He is currently a Fellow of the American College of Heraldry, a member of the American Heraldry Society, on the Committee on Heraldry of the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society and a member of several other heraldic societies and organizations.

Selvester attended Chaminade High School, Mineola, New York for his secondary education. His university education took place at St. John's University in New York City and St. Francis University in Pennsylvania, from which received a bachelor's degree. Selvester completed graduate studies at St. Vincent Seminary in Pennsylvania where he received a Master of Divinity degree, Immaculate Conception Seminary in New York where he received a Master of Arts degree, and Pope John XXIII National Seminary in Massachusetts. Selvester is an oblate of St. Benedict, as well as a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
