"Teenage Caveman" is the name of a 1958 science fiction film directed by Roger Corman under the shooting title "Prehistoric World", but was changed by American International Pictures to its final title. Plot

The story revolves around a tribe of primitives in a barren wasteland who struggle to survive, despite a lush environment just on the other side of a nearby river. The reason they do not cross is because of an ancient tale which warns of a god who brings death with a touch lurking on the other side, with the penalty for entering the land being death. A young man of the tribe, however, decides to challenge the law and cross over, eventually leading the tribe to follow after him and confront the "god": a horribly burnt humanlike figure which towered over them. Despite the young man's efforts for peace between the two, the tribe stones the giant to death, whereby the truth is revealed in a final narrative; it was actually a scientist, the last survivor of a nuclear holocaust, 500 years prior. Only surviving due to his radiation suit, he wandered across the land as humanity slowly rebuilt itself, his terrible appearance causing everyone to fear him and drive him away. The final message of the movie is this: would humanity repeat its mistake?
