Plaisance is a village located in the Regional County Municipality of Papineau in western
Quebec . The village is situated on theOttawa River near the mouth of thePetite-Nation River , 70 km from Gatineau and 160 km fromMontreal on Route 148.The village is well known for its falls located just north of town. There is also a large bird reserve near the main highway as well as a local cheese factory which was previously quite popular in the Outaouais Region.
