Realitatea TV is a Romanian news television network. The channels is distributed by many cable operators in Romania and Moldova. "Realitatea TV" is also available via the DTH platform "Digi TV" in Serbia, in the Romanian language extra package.

Although it began broadcasting in 2001 as a general-profile television, Realitatea TV soon became the first ever 24-hour Romanian news television (2002).

Realitatea TV's program consists of newscasts, talk shows, debate and analysis formats, scientific and IT TV magazines and, generally, every important type of informative program that was deemed necessary through marketing research or by the editorial policy of the station. This news channel brought together some of the most important media personalities in Romania: Mihai Tatulici, Stelian Tănase, Robert Turcescu, Cristian Tudor Popescu (until January 2007; he canceled his contract after Sorin Ovidiu Vântu, the main owner of the TV station, made some political statements [Hotnews.ro, [http://www.hotnews.ro/articol_64135-C.T.-Popescu-si-a-reziliat-contractul-cu-Realitatea-TV-dupa-declaratiile-politice-ale-lui-Vintu.htm "C.T. Popescu şi-a reziliat contractul cu Realitatea TV dupā declaraţiile politice ale lui Vîntu" (C.T. Popescu canceled the contract with Realitatea TV after Vîntu's political statements)] , January 25, 2007] ), Emil Hurezeanu, Mircea Dinescu, Andrei Gheorghe.

Since 2003, Realitatea TV has been the local broadcasting partner of CNN, being able to train its journalists through the CNN IPP (International Professional Program).

Realitatea TV won 4 APTR (the Romanian Association of Television Professionals) Awards in the last two years (one "Best Talk-show" Award, one "Opera prima" Award for best new TV format, and two "Best Informative Broadcast" Award).

Among the important worldwide personalities to be interviewed by Realitatea TV we can find Saad Hariri, the son of Lebanese Prime-Minister Rafik Hariri, killed in a bomb-attack in 2005, Abd al-Bari Atwan, the Palestinian journalist who spent 3 days in a cave with Ossama Bin Laden, Prince Charles, the American President George W. Bush etc.

In May 2006, Realitatea Media, the media corporation which owns Realitatea TV, launched a new project: the first business channel in Romania, The Money Channel.
