Glenn Kirkham

Glenn Charles W. Kirkham (born on October 8, 1982 in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire), educated at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Alford is an English field hockey player, who made his international senior debut for the national squad in January 2002 in a match against Poland. Nicknamed "Glenda", Kirkham played club hockey for Long Sutton. Currently, he is playing for East Grinstead. He was named as the England captain for 2006-07, and currently serves as vice-captain. Kirkham also teaches sport at the Perse School, Cambridge and used to play football for the youth team of Scunthorpe United FC. He has also been an above average cricket player in his time, representing the legendary team Alford & District Cricket Club, in the Lincolnshire Premier League.

Kirkham participated at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where the Great Britain hockey team finished 5th.
