Nova Scotia . The station uses the on-air brand name Q104 (The Q for short). Founded in 1983 by C.A. (Arnie) Patterson of Patterson Broadcasters. Original slogan was "The Rock of the Atlantic".Original line-up consisted of the "Morning Zoo" with Brother Jake Edwards, Hal Harbour (Doug Barron), and "Billy-Bob" (Bill Phillips), mid-days with "The Legend" Bob Powers, afternoon drive Andy K., six-o'clock rock report with "Rockin'" Ray Plourde. Other original on-air personalities included Jim Armstrong, Brenda Oland ("Ms. Information"), Doug Caldwell, Andrew Gillis ("Les Ismore") and Andrew Boyle (sports).
In subsequent years the following personalities were on-air: BJ Wilson, Jay McNeil, Kenny "C",
Jamie Paterson ,Jordi Morgan , Darian O'Toole, andHarv Stewart (sports).Q104 is presently owned by
