Lalamusa

Lala Musa ( _ur. لالہ موسی) is a town in Gujrat District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is geographically located at latitude (32.7 degrees) 32° 42' 0" North of the Equator and longitude (73.96 degrees) 73° 57' 35" East of the Prime Meridian on the Map of the world. It lies at an altitude of about 250 meters and has an approximate population of 76,032.

This city is named after a person Musa, whereas the word "Lala" means Big Brother. Lalamusa has some good recreational places like Barkat Park, Qasim Park, Hassan Park.

Lalamusa also has the honour to host the only available academy for local government training in the whole country.

Mian Imam Din janjua is a great personality of lalamusa he is the founder of first women degree college in Lalamusa named Mian Imam Din Junjua degree college Lalamusa. The famous folk singers Alam Lohar and Roshan Ara Begum belong to Lalamusa. Mr. Razzaq Aslam Janjua worked as a chief protocol officer to the President of Pakistan is also belong to Lalamusa. Mr.Javed Chaudhry a renowned journalist also belong to this city. Another famous singer now a days,Arif Lohar, Son of Alam Lohar is from Lalamusa. A prominent scientist and scholar, Dr. Adnan Ali Chaudhry, is from Lalmausa and is currently employed by Federal Government of Canada in Public Service Commission, Ottawa. Scientist Zafar Khokhar and Faisal Janjua the famous Social Worker & Bussinessman is from Lalamusa as well. Lalamusa is also the home of Mirza Amer Samarqandi, the anti-establishment social revolutionist who leads the movement against darwinian thought in the 21st century. .Ch Muhammad Zaman of Kaira father of Ch Qamar zaman kaira was elected MPA,and his younger brother Haji M Asghar kaira (late) was twice elected as an MNA,and hold seat of Chairman standing comettie for industrial and production and his son Ch Nadeem Asghar kaira is TEHSIL NAZIM Kharian. Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira is a elected member of National Assembly is a Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs . Mr Tanveer Ashraf Kaira is MPA Punjab Assembly from Lalamusa and is Provincial Minister of Finance in Punjab. Chaudhry Muhammed Zaman Dhama was the mayor of Lalamusa for 30 years and was elected Member Legislative assembly in 1951 and his son Ch Tahir Zaman Dhama LLB,LLM in environment law from preston university UK remained Vice chairman Muncipal Committee Lalamusa is also famous personality.Sheik Hafeez ullah Saddiqi is another well known personality of Lalamusa who was elected Chairman Muncipal Committee lalamusa for four times.Another famous personality was Mirza Jamshaid Ali Shamas(LATE) who was elected Chairman MC lalamusa in 1981 was also a poet. The famous poet Muhammad Ishaq Aashufta also belong to Lalamusa. Mr Ali Rehmat son of sardar ali is also one on the main personalities in lalamusa because of his wealth back in 1950s which are alkso called longo walle. Transportation

The Pakistan Railways line passes through the city which links it with Islamabad and Lahore. Lalamusa railway station is a junction, from where lines leads for Sargodha district also. It is a major stop for all trains.

People of lalamusa are interested in Education. A lot of private & Government schools are available from Primary to Matric level. 2 Government and many private colleges are also thereto help people in education.
