Knight Mediacom International is a broadcast programming, DVD Label distribution and digital film and content production company.

Founded by principal Ron Knight, with offices in New York and Southern California. Knight Mediacom International as an international broadcast and film properties and cinema licensing company specializes cultural and popular programs, events and special interest features.

History

Company principal Ron Knight started in radio in 1978, and evolved into television, direct response media broadcast, eventually landing in animation in the 80's with firms such as Jerry Smith's Mill Valley Animation (Take One Productions Studios in Korea), in the director's pool at Marvel Productions in the mid 80s, and eventually in themed entertainment retail chain venues and location based entertainment development, such as Universal Studios Parks, Disney Resorts, and FAO Schwarz' Caesar's Forum Shops on projects such as the animated Trojan Horse.

Market strengths

Years spent in export management and international licensing of brands, broadcast properties and entertainment franchise licenses with agents and end licensees in various international regions of the world, allows an exchange of North American broadcast and theatrical markets with programming from the world's global markets, effectively importing and exposting broadcast programming, engaging distribution rights from international film suppliers for North American exhibition and distribution in traditional broadcast, cable, satellite, VOD, web based, cellular and mobility markets while affording content providers the secured base of distribution for Retail and Rental DVD In-Home markets. The firm has licensed programs to major production companies, distribution companies, broadcast and cable networks, satellite, ad-hoc syndication and must carry network providers. Manufacturing and distribution of titles on the firm's DVD labels includes all national retailers and in-home rental video markets, pay per view and special venue use.

Market experience includes years spent with a private sector counterpart to the U.S. Department of Commerce, procuring export brand extension and library sales for leading US film and television companies. Domestic sales for broadcast programming and retail product include music, culture and arts, character & animation, with supportive marketing experience and active buyer accounts in disc merchandising and retail distribution. Related areas of promotion include music CDs with an in-house record label, which now also features web based and podcasting operations, print, press, fashion & apparel, toys & games, fitness, sporting goods and outdoor lifestyle, food and beverage, gift and souvenir collectibles, high tech amusements, destination resorts and attractions. Industry advances

An early advocate of emerging media content programming, Mr. Knight was responsible for first web based streaming program web sites and content aggregation monetized by media stream advertising (Jones MediaAmerica) and then became responsible for one of the first 24/7 channels dedicated to World music and international cultural arts on the Sirius Satellite Radio.

Having acquired content with over 500 commercial hours of programming, the firm now positions programming in long form, episodic and short form for new media markets and advertising clientele, while maintaining a national sales and distribution base for in home retail and rental markets. As of 2006, the firm's principal offices are in San Diego, California, and include digital multimedia production studios for DVD production, traditional media production of radio and TV spots, voiceovers, audio for video and soundtrack supervision, animation in both traditional type cell and 3D, in addition to business affairs offices for distribution and finance.
