Roman Catholicism in Mauritania

The Roman Catholic Church in Mauritania is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome.

There are only around 4,500 Catholics in Mauritania, an overwhelmingly Islamic country, and the country forms a single diocese - the Diocese of Nouakchott.
