Christopher Garnett (politician)

J. Christopher "Chris" Garnett is a British politician from Colchester.

Garnett is a Conservative Party (UK) councillor for the Dedham & Langham ward of Colchester Borough Council. He is also chair of the Colchester and Tendring Community Trust, a nonprofit organisation which assists the smaller voluntary groups in the Colchester and Tendring areas.

Garnett served as Mayor of Colchester from 2000 to 2001. He served in the British army, reaching the rank of major before he left the army in 1974.
