Stoneclough is a suburban area of Kearsley, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England.cite web|author=Anon|url=http://www.gmcro.co.uk/guides/gazette/gazframe.htm|date=2003-07-31|title=A select gazetteer of local government areas, Greater Manchester County|publisher=Greater Manchester County Records Office|accessdate=2008-07-03] It is located on the banks of the River Irwell to the south-east of Bolton.

Historically a part of Lancashire, there are a number of listed buildings and recognised ancient monuments in the villages including Ringley Bridge, the village stocks, Kearsley Mill, St Saviour's Church & Clock Tower and the large stone railway bridge on the Manchester to Bolton line. The disused Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal also passes through this area.

Stoneclough today is mostly residential where most of the old industry was situated. These industrial sites included the Kearsley Paper Works owned by Robert Fletcher and Sons and Kearsley Power Station located on Hulme Road. These have both since been demolished.

Public Houses

There are five pubs in the area around Stoneclough, The Hare and Hounds, The Grapes and The Market Street Tavern are all located on Market Street. The Horseshoe and The Lord Nelson are located in Ringley opposite each other across the river.

Stoneclough has a football team that plays in the West Lancashire Football League, the ground is located next to the Hare and Hounds Pub in the village.

There are two primary schools in the area, St. Saviour's which is a Church of England school located in Ringley and Prestolee County Primary School.

Rail

The area is served by Kearsley railway station (formerly named Stoneclough Station) [Harvnb|Love|1839|p=234.] which lies on the Manchester to Preston Line (via Bolton) railway line.
