Rhicert ap Cadwaladr (c.1150-c.1220) or Richard ap Cadwaladr was the younger son of
Cadwaladr ap Gruffydd the brother ofOwain Gwynedd the king of Gwynedd and overlord of allWales . He was probably born inCeredigion where his father held extensive estates. After his father was banished from Wales he probably spent the rest of his life in exile inEngland . It is recorded that he married twice, firstly to Gwerful verch Gwrgeneu, and afterwards to Annes verch Gwyn.
