- Hendrick's Gin
Hendrick's
Gin is a brand ofgin produced byWilliam Grant & Sons in Girvan,Scotland . In addition to the traditionalJuniper infusion, Hendrick's uses a hint of Bulgarian Rose followed by a mash of cucumber. Hendrick's Gin is bottled in a dark brownapothecary -style bottle.Distillation
Hendrick's uses a blend of spirits produced from a Carter-Head Still, of which there are only a small number in the world, and a small pot still, originally built in 1864. Both have been restored by full-time
coppersmith s to working order after being bought at auction in the 1960s by current William Grant chairman Charles Gordon. The two stills produce strikingly different styles of gin. The pot still yields a heavy, oily, and strong juniper-flavoured spirit. The spirit from the Carter-Head still is much subtler with light floral and sweet fragrances. The gin's distinctive character comes from blending these two spirits.erving
Hendrick's suggest that their gin be served with tonic over ice garnished with cucumber instead of the traditional citrus.
