Vladimir "The Janitor" Matyushenko ( _be. Владiмiр Матюшенко, born
January 1 ,1971 inRečyca ,Belarus ) is a Belarusian mixed martial arts fighter and the finalInternational Fight League light heavyweight champion. He is currently a light heavyweight for theTokyo Sabres of theInternational Fight League .
Matyushenko is an accomplishedfreestyle wrestling athlete and utilized his wrestling background extensively in his fights. He became a two-time National Junior College champion atLassen College , before moving on to the University of Nevada, graduating with a degree in Health Science in 1999.
Matyushenko defeated
Alex Schoenauer by unanimous decision to become the first ever light heavyweight champion in the IFL.Most recently, Matyushenko successfully defended his title against
