Bohunt School is a state run Secondary School located in the rural village of Liphook, Hampshire. It is co-educational and takes children from age 11-16 and currently has over 1200 pupils enrolled. The school was opened in 1978 and the current Headteacher is Mr Alan Taylor-Bennett.

Academics

Bohunt School is also one of the few secondary schools which holds a weekly 'school meeting' (an assembly), in which the whole school celebrates achievements and successes.

Language College

Bohunt is designated a Language College which means that it specialises in modern foreign languages and all pupils take at least one to GCSE with many taking two. It offers Spanish, German, French, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin.

Catchment

Bohunt's main intake comes mostly from four schools known as the 4-16 Partnership. These are Liss Junior School, Liphook Church of England (controlled) Junior School, Greatham Primary School and Grayshott Primary School. As a popular and oversubscribed school Bohunt also draws from many other primaries in Hampshire, Surrey, and Sussex.

Houses

The pupils are split up into a house system with nine houses, each taking the name of an important person from the local area. These are:
*Austen House after Jane Austen
*Cobbett House after William Cobbett
*Doyle House after Arthur Conan Doyle
*George House after David Lloyd George
*Hudson House after William Henry Hudson
*Opie House after Iona Opie
*Shaw House after George Bernard Shaw
*Thompson House after Flora Thompson
*Webb House after Beatrice Webb

Arts

Bohunt has a very active performing arts department, performing productions/musicals every year. The shows are always a great success with fantastic performances from Bohunt's many talented students. Other annual events include The Evening of Drama and Readings, Arts Fever and the Spring Concert where students showcase their acting, dancing and singing talents

Athletics

Bohunt participates in many competitions throughout Hampshire and the UK and its Tchoukball team recently appeared on Blue Peter.
