The Bohemian Discount Bank (Bebca, _de. Böhmische Escompte-Bank) was a
Prague -based bank with branches in most major towns ofBohemia and, later,Czechoslovakia .Founded in
1863 , it was aimed at promotion of industry. After the GermanAnschluss of Czechoslovakia and the creation of theProtectorate of Bohemia-Moravia , the bank was confiscated by the German state and partially attached toDresdner Bank [http://dresdner-bank.com/content/03_unternehmen/01_zahlen_fakten/02_historie/02_zeitleiste/1933_bis_1945.html] . It also financed construction of some of the concentration camps through commercial credits to the SS and its subsidiaryDEST company. After thePrague Uprising the main seat of the bank in Prague has become the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party.
