Vladimir Veličković (
Serbian Cyrillic : Владимир Величковић; bornAugust 11 1935 inBelgrade ,Serbia (then Yugoslavia)) is one of the most prominent Serbian painters. He graduated from the Faculty ofArchitecture atBelgrade University . From1963 to1966 , he was an assistant inKrsto Hegedušić ’s Master workshop inZagreb ,Croatia , then in Yugoslavia, and in1966 he moved toParis . In1983 he was elected professor at the "École Nationale Superièure des Beaux Arts" in Paris, until2000 . In1985 he was elected as a member ofSerbian Academy of Sciences and Arts . He was honoured with the highest French award in the field of culture and art, "Commandeur dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres". His paintings were exhibited in many countries inEurope and America since1951 .Since
