"Freedom Magazine" is a magazine published by the Church of Scientology since 1968. The magazine describes its focus as "Investigative Reporting in the Public Interest." A frequent topic is psychiatry (which Scientology .)

In 1998 James Kennedy of the Mineola American reported, "Recently [Haywood] Nelson, joined by fellow entertainers Isaac Hayes, Anne Archer and Chick Corea honored eleven human rights activists who have fought for children, religion and individual human rights at the 30th anniversary of Freedom Magazine, the Church of Scientology's investigative news journal, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C." "Freedom" is also the title of a number of regional newspapers distributed by the Church of Scientology, which report on activities of Scientology and related organizations [ [http://www.freedommag.org/english/Onceupon/freedom-int.htm International Freedom editions online] ] .

There is also a Freedom Magazine TV Edition website [ [http://www.freedommag.tv/ Freedom Magazine TV] ] with about a dozen half hour videos covering similar topics to the print publication. Award Received

In 2006 Freedom Magazine was awarded first prize in the category 'Writing for the Web' by the National Federation of Press Women, [ [http://www.nfpw.org/competitions.htm Communications Contest] ] for the story 'North America's Crime of the Century? The Dark Mystery of the Duplessis Orphans', by Christine Hahn and Thomas G. Whittle.
