- Yaesu FT-847
The Yaesu FT-847 was known as the "Earth Station" according to sales literature [http://www.yaesu.com/downloadFile.cfm?FileID=620&FileCatID=154&FileName=FT%2D847.pdf&FileContentType=application%2Fpdf] and the company's web site [ [http://www.yaesu.com/indexVS.cfm?cmd=DisplayProducts&ProdCatID=102&encProdID=1F9F41E47B926F9590C43C638C5EFD00&DivisionID=65&isArchived=1 Welcome to Yaesu.com ] ] . Yaesu introduced the FT-847 in 1998 as a replacement for the then discontinued FT-736 VHF/UHF Satellite transceiver, with production ending in 2005 [ [http://www.rigpix.com/yaesu/ft847.htm RigPix Database - Yaesu - FT-847 ] ] . The FT-847 is a multimode transceiver providing coverage of all nine HF Amateur bands (less 60 m), plus VHF and UHF coverage of the 50 MHz (6 m), 144 MHz (2 m) and 440 MHz (70 cm), with provisions for amateur satellite operations.
