Power of the Duelist (POTD) is the 23rd booster set of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, which was released in Japan on May 18, 2006. The English language version was released on August 6, 2006.

The set contains 60 cards, including 4 Ultra Rares, 7 Super Rares, 14 Rares, and 35 Commons. Every Ultra, Super, and Rare card has an Ultimate Rare counterpart in the English language release. Highly sought after cards include "Chimeratech Overdragon", "Destiny Hero - Dogma", "Future Fusion", and "Overload Fusion".

Mechanics

Power of the Duelist includes cards used by Jaden Yuki, Syrus Truesdale, Tyranno Hassleberry, Zane Truesdale, and Aster Phoenix in the "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" anime series. Power of the Duelist introduces the Neo-Spacians and their basic Neos Fusions. Further support is placed on the Destiny Hero and Vehicroid archetypes, as well as on Dinosaur-type monsters. A new family of monsters also makes its debut: Aliens, which take advantage of "A-Counters" to exploit various battle strategies.
