Gillian Vigman (born January 28, 1972) is an American comic actress. Vigman is most notable for her membership in the recurring cast of comedians on sketch comedy series "MADtv." She recently starred in the ABC comedy, "'Sons & Daughters'".

Biography

Gillian Vigman was born on January 28, 1972 in New Jersey, where she attended The Pingry School. She graduated from Colgate University in 1994. While at Colgate, Vigman was one of the earliest members of Charred Goosebeak, the school's improv comedy troupe, performing alongside fellow members such as noted Ocean's Eleven and Matchstick Men screenwriter Ted Griffin, Dukes of Hazzard director Jay Chandrasekhar, and the professional improv comedy troupe Broken Lizard. Afterwards, Vigman started her professional comedy career in Chicago working for The Second City. Prior to joining the cast of "MADtv", Vigman toured with The Second City National Touring Company in 2000, to launch its 20th anniversary season.

Career

Vigman first appeared on "MADtv" in the eighth episode of the Eighth Season. She was an uncredited extra, opposite Michael McDonald, at the beginning of "The Real Bachelor" sketch. Her one line appearance laid the groundwork for her future casting.

Vigman officially joined the cast of "MADtv" in 2003, as a feature performer, for the ninth season. Vigman's tenure on "MADtv" was limited to only one season. At the end of Season Nine, in 2004, her contract was not renewed.
