- Sigmund Borgundvåg
Sigmund Borgundvåg (born 1939) is a Norwegian
naval architect of offshore platform supply vessels. He is also the designer of the "Abeille Bourbon " salvage tug.He worked as a naval architect for Rolls-Royce, becoming chief naval architect there from 1970-2006. He is known for the concept of "'UT-design", the basis of numerous off-shore installations. He was responsible for the construction of more than 600 vessels.
