Portsoy (Gaelic: "Port Saoidh") is a burgh in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, formerly in the county of Banffshire.

It is known for:
*its local jewellery made from "Portsoy marble" (which is not marble, but rather serpentine)
*its locally milled oatmeal which is sold around the world
*its annual small boat festival.
*its two historical harbours

It also has a pottery, whose ceramics are noted for their delicate colouring.

Portsoy's Traditional Boats Festival, taking place each summer at the town's harbour, attacts visitors from all over the world. Entertainment for the older generation with traditional festivities and music, and the younger generation with fun fairs, discos at nights and up-to-date entertainment!
