Porirua Pistol Club is a Pistol New Zealand affiliated pistol club in Ranui Heights, Porirua, New Zealand.

History

The Porirua Pistol Club has been operating at the Porirua Shooting Association range since the 1980s.

Events

The Porirua Pistol Club shoots mainly action or practical style events such as:

* Speed.
* International Practical Shooting Confederation.
* Three gun.

Introduction

Porirua Pistol Club is a club for people who want to learn about pistol shooting in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are happy to show newcomers how to shoot pistol in a safe and fun environment. You are entitled to attend the club up to three times before you must join. Your first visit is free, but there is a $20.00 range fee each time for the 2nd and 3rd visit, and you will be charged for your ammunition during those visits.

You do not have to have a firearms license to join, however you must be taking steps toward achieving this.

Time: Every Saturday starting at approx 9.00am.
Duration: Anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on numbers in attendance and weather conditions.
Place: The Porirua Shooting Association Range, 130 Sievers Grove, Porirua

What do you need to bring:
The following is mandatory and you will not be permitted access to the shooting area without these items:
- Safety Glasses or Sunglasses, preferably in a wrap-around style.
- Earmuffs or ear plugs.
