- Law-Racoviţă Station
The Law-Racoviţă Station ( _ro. Staţia Law-Racoviţă) is the first Antarctic exploration station of
Romania , named after the Romanian explorerEmil Racoviţă .The station is situated in
Princess Elizabeth Land , more specifically in the Larsemann Hills. It was inaugurated onJanuary 13 ,2006 , on the site of an exporation station built in 1986 byAustralia and donated to Romania.Law-Racoviţă Station is operated by the
Romanian Polar Research Institute , and is led by polar explorerTeodor Negoiţă .External links
