Anthony-Maria Browne, 2nd Viscount Montagu

Anthony-Maria Browne was an English peer during the Tudor and Stuart period.

He was born on 22 July1552, and become the Second Viscount Montagu on the death of his grandfather in 1592. He married Jane Sackville, the daughter of Thomas Sackville, 1st Earl of Dorset, in 1591. Their children were:
* Francis (the Third Viscount Montagu)
* Anthony
* Mary
* Thomas
* Catherine
* Anne (who became a nun)
* Lucy (who became a nun)
* Barbara

Anthony-Maria Browne was arrested in connection with the gunpowder plot and spent about a year in the Tower of London.

He wrote a book on how to manage a nobleman's household entitled, "A Book of Orders and Rules"

He died on 23 October 1629 and is buried in Midhurst Church.
