fashion model who started as a ramp model in 1993, and later also dabbled in acting hosting tv shows.Career
She did her first shoot with Dawn/Herald with Fifi Haroon in 1993. Her style appealed to the elitist fashion industry but not the general public and by 1998-99, she faded away from the scene. Her comeback with Faakhir's video Khyal Se, in 2001 was the starting point of her career's new phase. She acted in a number of plays but was'nt very successful. She later hosted the weekly movie review "Silver Screen," and "Timeout with Tanya", a celebrity interview program where she did quite well. Tanya comes from a family with ties to the fashion industry. Her cousins Sana, Safinaz, Sanya, Lulu and Sadaf Jalil were established models/designers in Pakistan. Her aunt, Beena Munir was a well-known haute couture business owner in Karachi. Tanya was one of the leading "supermodel" in Pakistani fashion scene during 1994-2006. Although she's now more into fashion branding, her recognition still comes from modeling.
She received a Lifetime Achievement award at Nestle Pakistan fashion awards in 2002. Currently, she's the spokesperson for Pond's in Pakistan.

Shafi is married to Unver Shafi, an artist and painter. They were married in 1994, and live in
Karachi , Pakistan. She remains a popular figure on the social scene & fashion industry due to her positive image and ettiquetes.Measurements
